In Victoria, we invite all high school students in Years 9-12 to host a German exchange student. No German language skills neccessary.

In Western Australia, it is a condition of receiving the SAGSE Scholarship that one must host a German exchange student. Accordingly, the application process is mutually inclusive and we are unable to offer hosting as a stand-alone experience.

The SAGSE Scholarship in Victoria is open to all Year 11 and 12 students studying VCE German, VSL German, or IB German B.

The SAGSE Scholarship in Western Australia is open to all Year 11 and 12 students studying German.

GASS Australia is associated with SAGSE (Scholarships for Australian-German Student Exchange), who are the legal and financial authority of the hosting and exchange programmes, and are responsible for Scholarship selection. For further information please visit the SAGSE website.
